Child and Family Resources is committed to quality child care, our agency is a member of the Early Care and Learning Council, Winning Beginnings New York, and Child Care Aware of America. These organizations are leaders in state and national early care and education advocacy efforts. CFR supports their public policy agendas.

Due to recent child care subsidy funding losses or depletion of fund, parents have had to make difficult choices about child care options. Child Care programs have had to lay off staff or close their doors! Tell us how you have been impacted by the lack of subsidy dollars.

Child Care Aware of America  

Our nation's leading voice for child care. They work with more than 700 state and local Child Care Resource and Referral agencies nationwide. These agencies help ensure that families in 99 percent of all populated ZIP codes in the United States have access to high-quality, affordable child care. To achieve their mission, they lead projects that increase the quality and availability of child care professionals, undertake research, and advocate child care policies that positively impact the lives of children and families.  

 

 

Early Care and Learning Council   

The statewide voice for children and families through New York's child care resources network. The Early Care & Learning Council has been working to make quality, affordable child care available to New York’s families since 1975. Rooted in a statewide network of child care resource and referral agencies, the support of the Early Care & Learning Council includes wide representation from child care providers, parents, businesses, community organizations, and other individuals. 

 

 

Ensure vital services to young children and families. Investments in early childhood have both short and long term economic benefits for our state, its families, and current and future workforce. The Early Care & Learning Council and our Child Care Resource and Referral network are committed to providing high quality, equitable child care services within our communities.

Winning Beginnings NY  

The statewide coalition working to inform policy makers and the public about the many benefits of early care and learning including home visiting, child care and Pre-K. The coalition aims to build a broad-based constituency to make investment in quality early care and learning a top public priority in New York State.

Winning Beginnings, the Committee on Economic Development, United Way of New York State, and America’s Edge have partnered on a new video, It’s Our Business: Why New York State Business Leaders Support Early Childhood Education - showcasing business leaders discussing the importance of early care and learning to our current and future workforce.  

 

Prevent Child Abuse New York   

 A state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, is on the forefront of a growing movement to stop child abuse and neglect before it has a chance to start. Prevent Child Abuse New York serves as a source for parents and families, connecting them with help, support and resources. They advocate for programs and policies that support families and prevent abuse and foster a statewide network of individuals and organizations committed to prevention.
